Fundamentals of Filmmaking for Kids ages 11-14

Join us for an 8-week journey into the world of filmmaking! Explore storytelling, scriptwriting, camera techniques, and editing to unleash your creativity on screen. Ideal for young filmmakers ready to embark on a cinematic adventure!

In 8 weeks we will learn:

Week 1: Introduction to Filmmaking

Week 2: Storytelling and Scriptwriting

Week 3: Pre-Production Planning

Week 4: Camera Basics

Week 5: Lighting and Sound

Week 6: Directing and Acting

Week 7: Editing and Post-Production

Week 8: Final Project and Presentation

Sessions 1 - 7 will be online via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30pm - 5:30pm Pacific Time. Sessions during Week 8 will take place at a Bay Area film studio and another public location to practice filming techniques. Those dates and locations will be announced at a later date.
